Connecticut State Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down a suspect who attempted to use counterfeit cash at an I-95 rest area.
According to police, at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, troopers were dispatched to the Madison rest area, where there was a report of the middle-aged man using the phony money. The man was able to leave the area without further incident before investigators arrived.
Police said the investigation into the counterfeit cash is ongoing. Anyone with information, or who recognizes the suspect, has been asked to contact investigators at Connecticut State Police Troop F by calling (860) 399-2100.
